I was thinking of doing a 4 day trip on the Madawaska in early June. 3 guys, 1 OC1 and a whitewater tripping boat. Never done this river before. I was thinking of maybe doing the Lower from Palmer Rapids to Griffith. I was told that this section can done in 3 days but we like to take our time to play in the rapids and sometimes fish. How is this section of river? Is there a better one? I was also wondering if there is a shuttle service in that area since we would take only one car.

This is the guy on the lower Mad you want to talk to. He does shuttle service and rentals and he's also a real friendly guy.
