ARF - Northeast Canoe Gathering
Cboaters their friends and family in any watercraft paddling on the Deerfield river in Massachusetts. Coinciding with Deerfest weekend in Charlemont, MA.
3 Day Event
Fri 6/29 thru 7/1
Some canoes will be available upon request at this event to roll at the campground pond. We'll have a L'edge, Option, Phiend Prototype, Blackfly Ion, and Detonator on hand to try. The Savoy campground has a pond for rolling.
I'll be coordinating extra canoes and newbies for Saturday afternoon on the easy CL 2 Fifebrook section after Dryway paddlers finish around 12:30pm. If you want to attend and bring an extra canoe and paddle with the New Kids Fifebrook group, please let me know. RIVER:
Class 2(3) - Fifebrook Section 4.8 miles.
Zoar Gap is the only CL 3, take out before or after.
Class 3 - Dryway Section Take out at stairs above Dragons Tooth (great class 3)
Class 4 - Dryway Section Take out below DT @ reservoir. 2.7 miles (easier class 4)
Groups Meeting at both rivers each day.
Camping:

sites 8,9,10,45,36 are available as of 6/1.
