Just moved to town. I am an open boater - just ran the New River Gorge for the first time, and looking for friends in canoes.

Hit up Nathan Zumwalt (avlclimber) and Golder Goldstein on Facebook - both great Ashvegas open boaters.

Most of the Asheville area also uses Facebook groups: Western Carolina Paddlers is the Asheville area group; I paddle 2-4 days a week
