WS Project X 56 vs 64??

Both boats are for sale close by for a little more than 40 percent off. The weight range for the 56 is 140-210. The 64 is 180-250. I weigh about 165. I generally hear on here that you want to be on the bottom of the weight range for river runners and creekers, but I've read a couple of comments that for play boats it makes more sense to be somewhere in the middle. I feel very constricted in the 56. I'm guessing I could get away with a higher saddle in the 64 and generally be more comfortable, but what am I going to lose? I'm not even up to the bottom of the weight range for the 64. Does it matter? I've never done any play boating. Any other Project X users out there? I also have the opportunity to buy a Dagger Crazy 88 6.3 that has already been converted. Would the X be better for any reason?

I have the 64,I weigh between 190-200.I've only had it out once but I think if you could fit the 56, you should get it.The 64 has lots of volume where you need it and I can assume so does the 56 so stability shouldn't be an issue.I found the 64 to be super stable but felt pretty big to throw around in flat water, but felt pretty light in current.I engaged the edge and wow, that's when it felt pretty lively.I can feel that it'll be a fun boat to play in once I'm able to drive it the way it ought to be driven.

Now I'm new to play boating and my opinion is limited to one short session,so hopefully the more experienced among us will chime in.

I did find that on the little wave I was on, it seemed to pearl pretty easy but my home wave was pretty well unsurfable due to low flow so after getting it out on a good play run I'll wait to make an opinion.I did the fencepost conversion and since there isn't much foam involved there is plenty of room left in my boat, relatively speaking.

Don't know anything about the 88,so no opinion.

Either way, you'll become a better boater and having fun along the way.

Thanks for the reply oc ender. I decided that if I get one I should go with the 56, but I'm leaning towards checking out the Dagger. 40% off is hard to beat, but when I add in the amount of foam I would be buying it still would cost me quite a bit more than the Dagger. Still hoping to hear from someone that has paddled both. I'm curious why you went with the fence post method oc ender? Why not just build on the rail that is already in place?
