Stinkeye

Post by Northwoodsbc »

Never tried posting a link before, but here goes....

http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=c6hcj17C ... 3Dyoutu.be

This is the Stinkeye that I've been working on for far too long. Just finished it up yesterday. A January thaw opened up out local river just in time for me to get it out for a couple runs yesterday. Couldn't be happier.

Millbrook Boats should have the mold done soon if anyone is interested.

So simple, yet so elegant! I liked how easy you made that look. :D

Boat looks great! Nice little feature you have to play on there too (we're all ice flows right now...)

Our town cleaned up our river and added some features a couple years ago. It drops 70' in the last mile. This is the takeout wave. Everything was iced up pretty good a week ago. I just got lucky that it opened up as I finished the boat. Winter is back full force now. Pool sessions and tele skiing until spring.

Not to get off topic, but I've always found it amusing how many CBoaters are teleskiers... if you ski "downhill", I think cboaters are more apt to tele than go in fixed gear. PAC and I both tele, and I know there are many, many others on this board too.

I've yet to figure if kayakers are snowboarders or not

I find it funny that Tommy Haag is a snowboarder. Doesn't he realize that snowboarding is like going down the river in a ducky ;)

With a pump :)

Hey In tommy's defense he has asked about tele'n! So he knows riding is akin to kayaking!

He is working at local resort and I'll try to hook him up with him prior to end of season... although I have concerns based on how and Al paddled that tandem on the LY! Not on the gear but on his body parts if he tries to toe press a rail on teles day 1! :-)

Telepaloozia 2013 is scheduled for Feb 2-3 for those that like to T-Fest! http://www.telemarker.org" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Love that Stink Eye! :-)

Hadn't you heard? Tommy's sweet position at 7Springs is no more. He's got lots of time to paddle and teleski now.

I often claim that ww canoeing is like tele skiing. You are choosing to make your life more difficult for primarily aesthetic reasons.

People in the south don't seem to understand the comparison.

And now, back to the Stinkeye.
I'm still working on the plug. I haven't got the finish quite the way I want it yet.
Thanks for being patient.
