I'd like to formally announce that I have accepted the position of lead designer and V.P. of marketing with the recently revitalized Dagger Canoe Company.

Thank you to Jacques Chassé and the entire Esquif family for all the support you've given me over the years.

I suggest some Dagger related boat names. No more stuff like "Rival" that sounds like pooch food, or "Genesis" that forces biblical concepts on hapless paddlers. How about...

Dirk
Shiv
Boxcutter
Pigsticker
Skinner
Hidescaper
Switchblade (for AC/DC folks)
Longknife
Hacker

OK, I shouldn't have all the fun....

What's Scarborough up to these days, anyway?

Now I am really confused. I received a press release today from Jackson Kayaks stating they were very happy to be welcoming Craig to their design team and further went on to state how excited they were of the opportunity to merge the Worlds Best kayaks with Open boat design with hopes of furthering paddle sport designing a sit on top c-1 complete with solar charger bilge pump.

Way to go go Craig, Can I get in on the pre-order?

If the new Encore is half as long will it paddle half as bad? If so, sign me up.

A tale about how a canadian shortage on canoe specific plastic and new trade resrictions on raw materials will result in all immediate future esquifs being molded in pink, would be funny. Teasing us with a new line of boats is just mean. :-?

Does this mean we're gonna be getting those chrome-hulled boats now? :D
