Post by johnd »

Anyone have any thoughts or opinions on Monstar vs Fluid Flirt Large for someone who is 230-235 lbs?

Thanks

I haven't paddled the Monstar but have a lg Flirt. I like it a lot, but at 190lbs I feel it has a bit too much volume for me for serious play, so it might be pretty good for you :)
Where are you located? Might find some locals with boats to try?

Thanks, Mikey. There is a local shop that had a kayak version I was thinking of buying. They would probably let me try it out, but it would have to be converted to really tell. Might have to roll the dice I guess, see how it works out. That or the Monstar. It would be cool to have something that runs Class III-IV and is fun to paddle.

I paddled a large Flirt for a few years at 190 lbs. I'm not much of a play boater.

The boat was very stable to the point of being hard to roll.
