It'll depend on what prospective buyers come around, and whether they feel it can be adapted to one of their boats.

I just wouldn't buy one, but that's not a criticism of anyone who knows it will be comfy for them, and knows it will fit their boat without a lot of hacking.

I tend to price low, but I might start at $75 and see what bids I got. That happens to be the price I paid for a huge slab of uncut minicell, from which I will fashion at least one saddle.

thanks.......I'm actually the prospective buyer. guy said to make him an offer and I was just wonderin. I used to have one in an Old Town Cascade......I thought it'd be cool to have one again for the Cascade for certain types of trips.....gunnels still have holes where the thwarts would go, don't know if I'll do it, it was just a thought.

At any rate, the guy would have to take $ 40 for it or it wouldn't be worth it to me.

".....the guy would have to take $ 40 for it or it wouldn't be worth it to me."

That's a good way to think about a purchase. Sometimes, if I sense that there's a big gap between what a guy is asking, and is likely to accept, versus what I'm willing to offer, I don't make an offer at all. I might say, "Good luck, I can't get close to that right now, but if it's still for sale later and the price is within my reach, I may be in touch."
