There are to many variables like is the landing zone green or fluffy white, dose the lip of the drop roll of or is it vert.

Maybe the question was not correctly asked  .
I'd like to see what ideas are there to avoid overrotation or landing flat while staying with the water and entering where the water does.

Are there any points you try to use as a reference point (e.g. when you see your landing area, when the the boat is halfway over the lip, ...) or do you just wait to see what's happening and tuck shortly befor you enter?

Certainly this is not applicable to any fall but let's think of an ideal one, clean start, clean entry, free falling, not too much speed...

Cheers

I've been told "spot your landing" is a good rule of thumb- wait until you see your landing, then tuck. The real key is to practice on smaller falls. It seems simple, but it's tricky to get it dialed in just right.
