I beleive the Mohawk Scamp was pretty much the same boat (someone correct me if I'm wrong) and I used one for a while when the kids were younger as a tandem. Worked for us as a lighter crew and have many fond memories of it. I think crew size willcome into play but definetly can tandem.

Yes, as already stated.

With short tandems beware of the trim. I tried one that was bow heavy and therefore terrible to steer.

I'll add a coupla quick additions:

As tandem boats for WW go, PAC's suggestion is right on -- crew size is worth considering. It's a little wet in huge water, lacking big depth or big rocker. A smaller crew would run dryer. (In the pix shown, my buddy and I are around 165# each.)

And, related to that, as PaddlePower says, trim is important -- I prefer to run it a little bow-light, if possible.

Yes, PAC, the Scamp is pretty much the same hull as the "Piranha" (known as the "Challenger" in composite). I've tried both the Rx version and the composite version, and, as per comments in the previous thread, the composite hull is vastly superior to the Rx version, IMHO.
