idiots guide to converting a k1 to c1

Post by oldschoolpiton »

anybody know where I can find one of these? I really want to make a bulkhead style c1 out of a kayak but have 0 experience doing so. any good tutorials out there anyone knows of? I know I need the foam, rasp, rubber cement at least, but I'm sure there's a lot more. Also, for the foam do you guys recomend sweet composites or is there somewhere I could get it for cheaper? Thanks.

Some idiots scroll their cursor to the upper-left corner of the webpage where it says, "site", and click on the, "outfitting" tab.

:wink:

okay so the main thing i'm trying to do is install the equivalent of toe blocks/pegs in the rear of my cascade for a more secure fit on bigger rapids. i definately am going to make it myself, but does anyone have experience making something like this:
http://northwater.com/collections/toe-b ... ce-anchors" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
or this:
http://northwater.com/collections/toe-b ... toe-blocks" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
or something that serves the same purpose?
All help appreciated yall!

Lots of good stuff on the Outfitting page as KNeal noted.

If you have the time, this in particular is worth reading through.... RiverKen did an amazing job on it, and we're thrilled he allows us to share it with everyone:

quite a good read, actually before you mentioned it Sir Adam, reading through that is what led me to know that "toe cups" are what I really need.
