Selling Boat Best Practices?

May be selling a boat(?). What are the customary steps to follow? I've either given boats away, loaned them or sold them to; friends, family or acquaintances. This would be a sight unseen for both parties & moving a boat from East Coast to (nearly)West Coast. Any advice would be great. Regards...

Being honest about the boat, and taking any pictures of issue areas - would be best. If you are talking about shipping, then that thing needs to be wrapped up good!
