Team Silverbirch USA

Post by FullGnarlzOC »

Just got done putting a compilation of team footage together, mostly from the past year that we've had SB boats in the states. Figured some of you guys might not see it otherwise... some good stuff from some good paddlers in great boats.

Rock on.

If my friend hadn't lost his footage, I could have offered some of a bad paddler in a great boat surviving an intermediate run.

As long as the clip has at least 1.5 seconds of excitement! Which I'm sure it did... :p

I love watching your videos. Really killer stuff.

So, your Rebel 11.3. What's the weight capacity on it? I like the lines on it more than the Covert, but I'm 6.6 245/250, can the Rebel carry the same weight as the Covert 10?

Just wondering.
Canoeing isn't a sport...its an art. Unfortunately, I am not exactly Michelangelo.

Really great video, Tom! Makes you want to drop everything and go out and paddle.

Thanks guys! It was a whitewater canoeing video that sucked me into the sport 10 years ago, so I know it works, and try to continue to increase ww canoeings presence this way! We just got back from our Costa Rica trip with Esprit, have about 200 gb of footage to go through... what a great trip that Jim runs! It was 4 years since our last trip... and I think I'm going to make it a yearly thing, with an open invite on the Gnarlz Outdoors week.

As far as the 11.3 weight capacity - I would venture to say that 240 is about the upper weight limit. I've seen people of that exact size move the boat around impressively well. The Covert 10.5 was designed primarily as a tandem, so its weigh capacity is much more than the Rebel, holding up to 450lbs. It happens to work very well as a solo boat as well. Especially for that height and weight.
