Gnarlz Outdoors in Costa Rica

Post by FullGnarlzOC »

Got another video to share with you guys - from our week down in Costa Rica with Esprit. It does a great job of showing and painting the whole experience. Not just a whitewater trip. Gotta hand it to the Jim Coffey and his crew.... they do one hades of a job with service and logistics.

We'll be doing another trip in 2019, this time with an open invite to the first 10 class III-IV paddlers who want in. If interested, feel free to send me a message. We'll be looking to firm up around July/Aug.

Great stuff- looks like a wonderful place to go in the winter. It looks like you had your own boats- what were the logistics for that? I'll be obnoxious and ask what the ball park cost was for the whole deal for one person?

Esprit bought all 4 Coverts from us, they now reside in Costa Rica permanently. They will most likely have other SB models come this winter... as they seem to have been the boat of choice for most that went down there this past season. He already has Lèdges, a blackfly fleet, and various kayaks.

To give you a ball park... flying from the Eastern part of the states is about $500US to get to San Jose, CR (where you get picked up by Esprit).... The total cost of the trip to Esprit is around $1500 US, which covers nice jungle lodging, travel, food (3 meals a day), shuttling, and the great service that you get from Esprit (you won`t have to rack any boats ;) on this vacation) ...by the end of the week you get the feeling that you just made out like a bandit due to everything being taken care of.

Can`t recommend it enough. What an experience.
