Looking for ANOTHER OC (maybe 2) in CA/OR

Post by valhallalongboats »

Seems like almost every spring I'm on here looking for another boat.
It may be time to admit I have a problem.

In this case though, I'm actually looking for a friend. He's looking for his first OC-1, he's been paddling my old boat for years but its really on its last legs...uh...fins, flippers...whatever, its dying. Boat choices are thin on the ground out here, so he's flexible on models by necessity. He's in college, so a brand new boat isn't really in the picture, but he's pretty adaptable so he should be able to learn anything, also pretty tall at 6'3 and 210lbs.
Looking for:

Viper (11+12)
Encore
Outrage (X also)
Ovation
Probe (12/13)
Prodigy X (I had a prodigy once and liked it, but seem to remember it was pretty wet and a little squirrely for over 200 pounders, someone can refresh or correct my memory on this)
Shaman
Vertige
Ocoee ....as if anyone is going to sell one...haha
Open to other models I've overlooked, these are just the boats I've spent time in and enjoyed.

In addition,

One of my kiddos is interesting in starting to paddle with me, so I'd like to pick up a shorter tandem or an old-school OC-1 that I could either triple-outfit or rig for tandem.
ME
Sunburst 2
Caper
Probe 14
Caption (nobody's going to sell this either, lol)
Synergy
Etc, etc...

Thanks for reading, and happy paddling!

Maybe not ideal in terms of boats or locations, but close enough?

If you can find an Old Town H2Pro, that seems to make a nice little tandem for use with a kid!
