Advice for fully restored 1951 Old Town Canoe (SOLD)

Hello!

The Friends of the Rappahannock have been gifted a beautiful 1951 Old Town Canoe. They put it up for auction at their annual fundraiser and no one bid on it!

I've been asked to find it's "true" value and sell it. When I've asked the local canoe legends they've all told me "priceless". I suspect it's a little south of that ;-)

Can anyone offer me some advice on an actual asking price? Also it is for sale and I will be posting it in the correct forum once I know what to ask in case you are interested.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give!

Contact Old Town Canoe.
That canoe you've got is 70 years old now...they might want it for their museum and could probably give you an estimate.
Good luck.

You should take a look at this forum. http://forums.wcha.org/index.php

There are several threads about pricing canoes. Most settle on the idea that the sales price rarely reflects the value or cost of a restoration.
