I'm having a great time with my GoPro camera.
This is the Contoocook River near Henniker, NH at a medium high level. It is only about 20 minutes drive from the Warner, and people often do both of them the same day--and what a great day it is!

Contoocook
Since 1995 some boater-friendly things have happened. There was a dam below Freight Train that has been removed, which allows us to continue down river to a nice take out on river left by the bridges (the old take out was a long uphill slog). The new take out has a lot of parking area; the old take out didn't. Although you have to carry your boat up a short, steep hill, the town or somebody put in some nice, stone steps.
Since 1995 development along the river has been minimal, and I think there is a local consensus that it is worth preserving.
We try to show our appreciation for these amenities by spending money in Henniker. It is a college town, which means there are plentiful high caloric snacks, pizza and burgers. The town itself is small and very New England, and runs along the river. All in all, it's a great place to go boating. But don't exceed the speed limit.
