Sorry Riverken, I tried to answer the windows 7 question in my first paragraph, but I got off on a tangent. I have not used the video editing software that is available from MS for Win7, but IF it cannot use native MP4 files (which it probably can't... *grumble*), MPEG Streamclip WILL be able to convert it to something you can use.Riverken wrote:I can see that you folks are miles ahead of me, but I'll study up. I'd love to be able to creat some video of this quality.
Before I go out and buy a card and maybe some new software, will the camera work with Windows 7? I ask because the documentation that came with the camera implies that it will not. BTW, these people don't seem to answer their phone or respond to emails.
Thanks for the advice and the quick response. I hope I'm not being a pain; I just don't know what I am doing (you probably noticed that already).
One thing I have figured out is that if you get into doing videos you will be buying new editing software at some point. Apple, Adobe, and MS purposefully make sure their free/cheap software has some basic drawbacks in order to drive customers to the professional-grade software.
