Here's a solo and tandem open canoe run from this past weekend in Durango, CO:

Any tips to going faster?

cadster,
those were nice runs! we should do that more often. getting out of the ovation would make us faster! i went down there this morning and paddled about for awhile. greg and i paddled from the parking lot up to smelter, worked on ferries, and greg's roll (2 for 4 today, with those two being his first combat rolls). when the dww dvd comes out i'll burn it or download our races.
In a canoe you don't just float down a river: you're part of it- a silent water creature responsive to every surge and flex of current, gliding like a fingertip over a naked green body. "The River Why" David James Duncan

I'm happy with being so clean.

Two things to going faster are reducing my rudders and carving into the upstreams gates. I stall out solo thru the upstreams, but you kept us moving tandem. I suspect we could carve better with an outside lean.

Did you want me to post your OC1 run?
