White Salmon River, Washington

Post by milkman »

This is one of the better videos I've made of this standard summer/fall classic. I've even included some subtitles with the names of some of the major rapids. Naturally, there are many more rapids than the ones I show here. These are just the ones I managed to race to the head of the group, run first and get out and shoot.

Husum has gotten nasty and retentive. Still very runnable if you nail the line, but the consequences are worse now if you don't.

Or at 2 mins, or at 5 mins, or... I love watching how that guy can work the river. That's the kind of paddling I aspire to. I don't know if he can roll like FullG, apparently he doesn't need to, but I really like watching him paddle.

Thanks another great vid Milkman.

Pat.

Agreed. The guy in the zoom is well elegant and efficient!
But the other boys aren't bad either.

Those rivers look good people.
To think that I'm coming over to CO in 2 days and won't paddle!!
2 weeks of climbing.
My next trip to the US is to meet you all Cboat people and do some paddling if I learn to stay up right 8)

March 12-20. Go to the thread I posted above and ask in there if someone can lend you some gear - I'll bet someone can hook you up!
