Never know unless you try. I recently sent a email to all the paddling clubs in my city to see if we could rally support and get a plan together to do something like that. Figured why not give it a shot.

I don't know if we have any Texans on here that can speak more directly... From what I've read on the Arkansas Canoe Club board, it sounds like a lot of non-boaters saw this is a tourism/urban renewal issue, and a play wave was a mutually agreeable way to address it. I'm hoping to try it out when I am down in Ft. Worth for a conference in March.
