This was an interesting find at Canoecopia this year and wondered if anyone else had ever seen a boat like this one?

Very interesting Scott.
A first shot in term of design for sure, but with a decent seat(s) and hull design I could definitely see advantages of bamboo over cedar strips. Better lifespand and lighter boat, hopefully the price will also come down with popularity as any other things on the market...

I put bamboo floors in when we built our house. My wife isn't going to be happy tonight when she finds me ripping them out to build another boat though.
Opinions are mixed as to it's "eco-friendly" status... but I like it.

Thanks for sharing.
Can we expect a bamboo L'edge soon?

Because I'd be willing to volunteer as a crash test dummy. Or at least volunteer Scott, his back is bad anyway.

Great boat. I see Scott is using a cane- is he recovering from an injury?

Yeah Scott had a bulged disk (L5 I think) so he's been going to Physio and taking it pretty easy lately. Hopefully he will be back on the water soon enough though as I know he is itching to get out.
