We paddled a few whitewater sections of the Manning River system, NSW, whilst camping nearby. Mostly Grade 2 races. Some bits we did solo (in a Mad River Freedom Solo and a Legend 16 RX). Other sections we did with kids (in Legends, and a K2). We had a camera mounted on the bow of one boat, and on the helmet of one paddler. It was early Autumn, and the water was too cold for swimming, so the capsizes weren't fun. Although the flow was low, these sections did not require poles. The gradient here 7-m/km. Wildlife included a yabby and butterflies.
