Marmot to Marmot on the Sandy River, Oregon

Post by milkman »

This is a run on the Sandy River where a dam was removed in 2007, partly thanks to American Whitewater. The run has one Class IV, Alder Creek Rapid, that's a lot of fun to run. Carnage and some clean runs ensue.

video is blocked in "my country" (that would be Canada) due to EMI copyright issues.

Here's another video of the same run done a week earlier and I bet this gets through the music censors. What you won't see are any runs of Alder Creek rapid. I have video of the rapid, but that's all. I was the only canoe that ran it that day and no one got it on video.

There's some good footage of a tandem running a long class 3 with water sloshing out of the boat because it's so full of water after going over a pourover.
