You're Going to Run That in a Canoe 4

Post by milkman »

This is a collection of canoe carnage and close calls over the last two years, all packed into a tidy 2.5 minutes of action. Nearly all of these have appeared in various other videos I've done.

There's also a darker version using Johnny Cash's version of "Hurt." As I described it to one friend, it's a bit weird, making canoeists seem like masochists. On the other hand, maybe that's precisely what we are.

Nice! The hurt version is spot on. :)

I feel so very, very bad that I've left out the carnage of my kayaking brothers. To rectify this, I've taken footage from the canoe carnage video and mixed in some kayaking bloopers. I'm leaving out one classic kayak carnage clip by request of the flipper. This kayaker ran a drop with logs and bit it quite dramatically, but fortunately survived to live another day. Morale of the story: don't mess with drops that have logs. The video wasn't that cool anyway because as soon as I saw the flip, I shut off the camera and readied my throw rope--which is how I often miss the best rolls.

For the canoe/kayak carnage mix, see: http://youtu.be/v2HpP1qdxhE

Great stuff! Good ender, good tandems, loved seeing the BC boaters (very smooth Heather!), but best of all has to be the pre-flip nose plug from the Encore!

Cheers, Pat.
