Hello:
New to whitewater canoeing and picked up a Dagger Dimension that needs some repair. I think I am pretty clear on the process with the ABS and acetone but am wondering how warm it should be to attempt the repair. My directions say warm and dry conditions without any specifics.

I'd say the warm the better, i.e. room temperature or in the sun would be good.

warm is good, but you want to have it so that the acetone doesnt immediately evaporate, but has some time to soften the underlying ABS as well..
Work in thin layers - then it will evaporate very fast! But it also won't evaporate on the surface first, making it harder for the underlying acetone to escape, like in a thick application... which you don't want, because this could create new problems.
