Hot dam! A new Groove video!

Post by thomsonbytheriver »

This comes with HUGE thanks to Murky Water Paddling Supply and Level Six. Watch it, share it, embed it- most of all enjoy it! And of course.... buy one! It's too much fun to be legal!

Sweet. The original Massive/Groove video with P. Danks was one of the most inspirational I have seen - right up there with J. Lugbill/'89 Savage worlds. (And that comes from someone with serious stick chasing tendencies). ...edg

What did you do, have the wave in the first clip custom made for the Groove?!

Not fair posting that as the rivers freeze around here.... but inspiring to pull the Groove out in the spring:)

Murky Water is still making them. They've been out for almost 15 years now.... and it's still a cutting edge boat:)

Awesome footage Ian! It's still one of my favorite boats out there, and the plastic one I have is not even the reall deal!

TGG!

I posted it on the Wildwasserboard!

length 8' 1"
width 29 1/2"
weight dependent on lay up- the one in the video is about 15 lb.
Cut or built up to paddler size and specification.
Colour, graphics, metalflake etc. are entirely up to you. Ed at Murky Water is arguably the finest composite boat builder in the world.

Go to the description box of the video- there's a link for the Murky Water site.

Owning a Groove is kind of like a car nut owning a 68 Mustang GT Fastback. It's just completely Steve McQueen. And no matter how down you feel, it'll make you smile. :D

I recall this boat being built specifically for playboating/rodeo paddling. It can go underwater but its shape is for surface paddling.

I tried one when I was about 200- 210# and it was too much for me. If I looked down, the bow sunk. If I looked up the stern sunk. It was a rather exciting, if tense, 15 minutes.
