Hey Kaz, I can help with delivery down the east coast
My Esquif gig will have me driving up and down the east coast come spring. I'll have room in the van for C-boats, and could definitely use the extra gas money.

(a different sort of wheelboy, with 15,000 miles on my "new" van already... since July!)

Your Armada registration fee will cover your choice of Wheelboy or glass Atom as well as admission to Kaz's first campaign rally. We just haven't worked out the exact amount for that registration fee...

When ??
well i'm too lazy too see ...
When is the armada ... I Think we must start rushing some boats to KAZ ... We have a demo deal there so you should all have change to get in a testboat ....
Getting a great shipping deal takes some 3 weeks. Good deal is more than half of normal deal and expensive is 6 times more.

This idea is probably a little premature, but here goes. I haven't tried a Wheelboy...yet. I'll jump in one the 1st chance I get. Last year I discovered glass boats & I really like 'em. I've been thinking of a glass play boat & today it hit me. Why not get Kaz a mold for the Wheelboy. Then by the time that I get ready for a new boat he could build me a WB in glass with a bunch of red metal-flake on it
Just more of my ramblings

plastic vs. glass
HI
The glass version of WB would be great for waves. We did go a long way from traditional soft plastic feel to a what WB is today.
Most of the Difference between glass boat and plasticboat feel is build in materials ability to get back to its original shape. Glass returns faster and feels more nimble.
In WB there is a carbon/kevlar/ glass alumiun saddle construction that keeps your boat in orginal shape. no matte what happens.
Actually the construction is designed inside WB mould so it maches the lines of hulls rocker 100%. ALso 2 improvements have been introduced last week. New foamblock connecting deck and saddle to make it even more solid and little pillar holders ...
I have something like 5 different WB's (2 plastic 3 fiber) and the flagship of the fleet is the carbon kevlar one in the images @ www.drakkarkayaks.com. I like the outfitting on that boat on hard play. As a performers the plastic ones i have do actually better in river and pretty much same in play.
Paddling the kevlar one makes you look out every rock and and every shallow spot instead of PADDLING big time. You simply sdont go for those macho moves or wavewheels if you worry about the kevlar seam tape WB is a full on play C-1 so I would prefer full on play construction with 100 % play durability. 2 other fiber WB i have are beated in terrible condition by looping and wheeling in wrong places.
Well but the fiber is not dead... it is only limited. I would use fiber in serious WAVE playboat. And here is something that is purpose designed and dedicated only for surfing and playing waves. I have had a serious thought about that many times ..... many many times. And i thnk i will do that boat sometimes in the future, maybe for OTTAWA (Carburator) worlds in 2006.
Before i go for that i need to get all out of WB. There is more play in there tahn I can tell you. I spend most of the end of season figuring out how to pull out an Clean Helix (without initiation stroke)
Well taht would be fully different story then.... a Waveboy story ...
