Offside Rolling

Post by SlickStick »

Hi,
I am fairly new to the C1 world.
Is there a good website that describes how to perform an offside roll?

Thanks,
Peter

the website playak.com may have some info on the offside roll. as far as any other media im not sure, however i am fairly confident they will have something on the offside roll in the c1 related articles off to the left of the main page.

Peter, there was a thread somewhere here in the Forum.
Maybe you can find it with the search.
Some people regard it a party trick. I think its good to have one.
In playboating you might want to have one.

There are different types of off-side rolls. I do a sweeping low brace roll and end up in a position for a cross forward stroke.
Maybe I take some pics tomorrow at the pool or a little video.

In a hole on your off-side, sometimes a high brace roll works for me.
It's way harder on the body though and most times I just do a underwater 180 and roll up on my onside. That is not in play holes normally...

Cheers, Jan
Is there something like an expert kayaker?
