From the bow deck plate to the front of the saddle it's 38 inches so I guess that I get to redo the outfitting if I want it to paddle right.

It would be nice to avoid a complete redo but if I just trimmed the saddleback the rest of the outfitting would still be an inch off and the current lap belt placement already doesn't make for a snug fit. There is also the fact that some parts are loose (unfortunately not the saddle) so it may make more sense to just do it over the right way.
