Creeking vs Extended trips

Post by JSR »

Okay, so I have got a boat I love, a glass version of mohawk's viper, made in canada by clipper....but I am thnking of getting a new OC1 possibly a C1.

My question is do I have to choose between extended wilderness tripping ablilty, and ability to creek in it? Are there any good compromises?

...what do you mean by extended...
...and what do you mean by creeking...

Most creekboats have enough room for shorter multiday trips
(shorter than a week). After that it gets tough in C1.

Cheers, Jan

The glass vipers are great. Check out www.open-canoe.de for tripping in a playboat, the Smoky pages.
