What happened to Mohawk Phiend?
Is it dead?
Re: What happened to Mohawk Phiend?
No it is not dead We are hoping that within the next week it is a done deal. I takes a long time to rebuild a huge machine, Greg has worked on it for a year now and we think everything that could go wrong has went wrong for this week anyway.

Re: What happened to Mohawk Phiend?
What is the length and waterline going to be? I forget and now I can't find it either. I must be getting ready for a TOG sticker ...
It AIN'T bent.
Re: What happened to Mohawk Phiend?
Great to hear. I heard Mohawk was down to only 1 employee so I was wondering. Will you guys be in Nashville area for demoing when it's out?.
Re: What happened to Mohawk Phiend?
Yea we are down to two employees, one has been out west working on a blow mold machine for the last year or so. I am building pretty much every boat. But this is not due to lack of sales, more of I have more time to work and did a better job in the preseason.

Re: What happened to Mohawk Phiend?
I just talked to Greg yesterday. I told him we are all excited, and he is looking forward to giving us what we want! It sounds like it's not far off, but I told him we all know that building a completely new boat in a new process takes time. Keep up the good work Greg and Richard!!!

Re: What happened to Mohawk Phiend?
Hi guys, we've moved on another 2 months now. Hope you didn't encounter too much trouble finishing the machine. But I'm afraid so, since it seems to be taking much longer than expected. Or you guys must be secretly testing the new boat . Richard seems to be boating quite a bit recently .

Does the lack of response to this inquiry suggest to anyone else that the Phiend is not to be?jakke wrote:Hi guys, we've moved on another 2 months now. Re: What happened to Mohawk Phiend?
I think it's just continued technical difficultys and maybe financial constriants. We have had long waits between updates before. It's not quite time to hang it up for the Pheind and all of Mohawk by extension.
Here's hoping for a positive outcome eventually.

Re: What happened to Mohawk Phiend?
The Phiend is not dead it has gotten sidetracked for a minute, with having to build boats to pay the bills, and Greg getting side tracked in one of his other projects............ But, time is being freed up everyday, so it looks like we will be diving back into it at the end of the month.

Re: What happened to Mohawk Phiend?
Richard, we'll keep the faith as long as it takes. Just glad to have Mohawk as another whitewater canoe alternative. Keep in truckin'.
Re: What happened to Mohawk Phiend?
Richard, I know it's probably not a many-hands-make-light-work situation, but I would love to come down to Fort Smith and help if I can. Should have lots of free time in September.
Thanks,
