Blue hole canoe

Post by Vortexman »

Hi, I’m new to this forum and need some expertise on
Which blue hole canoe my father left me and it’s possible value. It’s 16.5 ft long. Has wood and netted gunwales and a wood strip
On the outside bottom running the entire length. I’ll try to post pics. The serial number is BHOTOO78D398. It’s in great shape. Been stored inside and hasn’t seen daylight since at least 2010 since I’ve had it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Its a Blue Hole Cumberland. Same hull as the Starburst, but with vinyl gunnels. Steve Scarborough design. Several other builders have also produced this great(est?) whitewater tandem tripper: Evergreen Starburst, Esquif Canyon, Nova Craft Moise.

You’re lucky to have it. Don’t sell it, paddle it!

P.S. The wood strip on the outside bottom you describe may have been added as a skid plate. Photo?

I live in New York and have a place in Delaware where the canoe is. I’ll take a photo next week when I go down. Thx so much for replying
