To duplicate the info about the Robert Craig campground in the Armada thread :

http://www.nab.usace.army.mil/recreatio ... n/news.htm

Sites are reservable online... And contiguous blocks of sites are available for that weekend...

I'll make an executive decision and say that the Robert Craig campground will be the "official armada" campsite.

C Y'all soon,
KNeal (self-designated organizer for the Spring Armada)

Addition: I have reserved site 69 (for 2 vehicles, 2 tents, and up to 8 people), so that makes 5 sites reserved in the same area. There are several campsites that are non-reservable (they are available first come, first serve) right across the reserved sites (these are the even-numbered sites, 72-78?) so if we need more, they may be available. Thanks to Scott B. for providing the reservation information and hyperlink. Anyone coming to the armada can contact me about staying at this site.

Count me in - however, I believe when you reserve, you are paying up front. How do you want to handle that? Might be best if we pick an area of the campground and have those coming reserve their sites in that area individually?

Count me in too. I think sbroam is right though. Should we just pick an area of the campground & each person make his/her own reservation? Maybe mshelton can shed some light on this for us since he's camped there before.

Agreed...

As soon as someone posts here the area we'll all be camping in, lets make our own reservations.

Looks like odd numbered sites 71 through 89, plus sites 88 & 90 are the "fam standard single" which means no electricity. These cost $18 per night as opposed to $22 per night for electric sites. As of right now, all are available except site #79. Looks good to me, on the computer anyway...

Maybe I jumped the gun, but I just booked site 71. [ FIXED : I also screwed up and have it booked from Saturday night to Sunday night - I'm trying to fix that now.] They allow up to 2 vehicles, 2 camping "units" and up to 8 people. I will probably sleep in my truck - let me know if you want to go in with me on the site.

Unless you have other takers, I'll go in with you on site 71...I'll be sleeping in a hammock tent...hopefully....

Going in 2 vehicles per site should help keep the cost down for everyone....

I hope there's some trees....

I just reserved site 73. I put down 2 vehicles & 8 people in case anyone wants to share. The description for this section says "partial shade".

I think you can go to the 'current reservations' page & update your reservation.
