Armada- Friday May 13 Paddling

Post by Brendan »

Just checking to see if there are any NB Armada folks planning to paddle on Friday, May 13. I know that the Hearn clinic is on the Potomac that day, but a few of us are interested in paddling the Yough that day. I am trying to find out if there are others who might want to join in on this. We can be up there by 12- 1 pm on the 13th.

In any event, I am looking forward to the NB Armada - what's the current count? Post here to confirm.

I'll be there, and I'll be sure Dave Miller and the rest of the local gang is there too!

I'm doing the clinic on Friday. We'll see y'all at the campground Friday night.

Brendan you've got 1st dibs on the Viper for Saturday if you want to paddle it. You'll need a skirt though, I'll be using mine on the Acrobat :P

Clinic on Friday, camp at campground Fri / Sat nights. NB Saturday, figuring out Sunday on Saturday:).

I'll have the Wheelboy (unless I don't need to bring it as it seems a few others are appear:) ), Fanatic, Master cut Acrobat (most likely), and possibly Groove.
Keep the C!

Hi Mike and Adam,

What size skirts fit the Viper and Groove?

I'd at least like to try (just for a few minutes a Viper, Groove and Acrobat)

I'll try to remember to toss my Viper (with spray skirt) on the Jeep as well for someone to test out. I have a 34" waist fyi. Paul C.

Adam - bring the WB just in case others don't show. Thanks!

I have the smaller cockpit on my Viper. I'm told it's a standard slalom size.

Bringing a Fanatic, but outfitting is set up for a small person.

Happy paddling,

I'll be there, but will be getting in pretty late.

When it comes to paddling on Saturday, I'm up for the Lower Yough, but wouldn't mind running the New or even a low water run on the Upper Gauley. I like both runs and paddling in that area Sunday will cut several hours off my drive home. (Lower Yough to my house is at least 8hrs)

Also, I'll be driving out after work on Friday, across Hwy 50 to Cinni, then up through Columbus. If any one wants me to pick them up along the way I can do that. Might help resolve the parking issues at the campground. (Note: I will be getting in late as I mentioned before...)

See you there,

David
