It looks like rain will be coming down at some point over the weekend with daytime air temps in the 70's with evening temps in the 40's. Dress appropriately and bring rain gear to help stay dry when off the river and definitely bring warm clothing for on and off the river.
Camping will be at the Robert/Richard Craig campground. I still don't know how to get there, but I'll be with the Davey Hearn clinic convoy, so I won't be alone--where ever I end up .
C y'all Saturday!

Yup!
C U at the clinic! I'm assuming we park in Brookmont at the church or so as we did for the Armada...I'll be driving from the west (50 miles out) and will try to arrive early...assuming I don't get lost or stuck in traffic....
Keep the C!

Robert W. Craig Campground is upstream of the Barnum putin on "Lake right."
To get to the campground from the Barnum putin, drive back up the hill on 46/2 until you get to Rt. 46 (the shuttle road.) Turn right and travel 1 mile south on Rt. 46. The entrance road to the campground is well marked on the right side of Route 46. If you are coming from the takeout(s), just stay on 46 past the road down to the Barnum and take the next right off of 46 into the campground.
If you find yourself at an intersection with the road into the Jennings Randolph Dam on your right, or Ellen Drive on your left, then you have gone to far south on 46. Turn around and take the next left turn from 46 into the campground.
Since there is really only one through WV road in the area, and no real development except at the USACOE facilities (Jennings Randolph Dam and the Robert W. Craig Campground) it is hard to overlook either, even in the dark. Of course, you have to be careful to avoid driving into an abandoned strip mine!
Zoom level 7 on this map shows Barnum and the road that goes into the campground.
