And another thing

I noticed that on " other sites " that the two or three really good pro boaters who post on that sites do it to support their sales or promote their products. Why is that not the case here or is it and I just haven't noticed? I know this site doesn't have the number of possers and class II boater that the other site has and this site is run by a boater while the other isn't. Is that where the market is? With the posser and class II boaters, might be I know that one former good boat company now seem to be tryin foir the REI, Walmart boat shopers.

just curious, are you knocking class II boaters? I have noticed that this site gets used a lot to ask questions about outfitting, technique etc. and not used for selling your own products which I think is great. Which great boat company is selling out?

While Louie asked that I delete the post (which I think is very "big" of hiim to do) I'm leaving it for now-let's just ignore the "class II" boater comment for now-I think we all realize we've all been there and are happy to help anyone that asks, including those who are content at tackling class II water who also have a wealth of knowledge. I DO think Louie's comment regarding commercialization and "posers" is an interesting one, and enjoy reading other's comments about our little C-community...every one is entitle to their opinion about it, let's just keep it civil and without any name calling as may occur on "other" sites (and I'm not just refering to the one Louie is...I know of a regional board that is super-cliqueish (or however you spell it) with many folks that give "advice" about topics they know very little about... (aka the poser crowd) it can be fun to read occasionally, but also a bit sad. I'm hoping we can all keep our humility here and keep a reasonable atmosphere...and THAT is what I think Louie was really trying to get at-why is this board so different? If you have a thought post it...

My letters that go in the newspapers and to elected officals get rewritten five or six time. The message stays the same but I rethink how I say it, that is the great thing about this internet stuff ( I would have said large steaming pile of dog doo, but the admins ask that we clean up the talk on here), you just say what you want as you think about it.
