Post by mshelton »

Super EZ - Green, normal wear. I've paddled this boat for about 8 months, has bulkhead, hipgrabbers and snowboard strap outfitting. 350.00

New Wave Viper - 6/7 layup so it's a little heavier than normal, I had started to recoat the top of the boat but never finished. No cracks or breaks, skirt inclused. 300.00

What's the cut on the Viper? The cockpit size? And most importantly, what's the color?

It's a full cut Viper, bottom is white (part I redid) top is red and yellow tiger stripe that needs some cosmetic work, nothing structurally wrong. Cockpit is standard (slalom) sized.

Bill, Scott both you guys sent me messages/post about the same time saying you wanted the Viper. I can't really say who replied first, so I'm hoping you guys can work it out. I live in Richmond but won't be traveling anywhere this weekend but could meet one of you guys part of the way to help with traveling. Just let me know where and when.

Scott -I'm assuming you sent a pm to Marshall-I hope you noticed-If you sent it prior to me replying then the boat is yours.

from my last post it looks like there is a 3 hour delay on the time stamp I show 13:39 right now but the reply shows 15:38 from a minute ago and the previous post reads. Did you beat me too it?

I'd sent a PM asking for more info earlier, but did not send one offering to buy it until after your post. <deep sigh> Not sure what these times are, I don't think they're GMT because they are further off than that (looks to be 8 hours off of EST).

Marshall -

I'll take the Viper unless Bill already has dibs on it.

Hi Marshall,

Scott and I talked, we both really wanted the boat, but Luckily I leaped a little faster. He told me not to crack it too badly.

What are your plans the next two weekends? I'll have my son with me for most of this weekend, and I'll be going to Lehigh next weekend-

I could pick the Viper up on the way to the Lehigh Thurs, or I could meet you on the Haw this weekend -Maybe you'd like to demo the Wheelboy? Maybe Trevor would go too?

Let me know what works

Bill, be sure there's plenty of water in the Haw if you're planning on taking glass down. I wouldn't dream of taking glass through Moosejaw :o Heck, I cringe when paddling plastic through there.

Thanks for the heads up Mike,

I'll probably be taking plastic down the Haw, I want to use the WB on as many rivers as I can. Would you take a Viper down the Nanty? I'm hoping to spend a lot of time there this summer, I think I can learn a lot there -

What are you doing 6/4? I'm hoping to find a driving buddy for a lehigh - slippery rock adventure http://www.americanwhitewater.org/rivers/id/1663

The Wheelboy will be fun at Gabriel's on the Haw.

I've got a freind who paddles her squirt boat from the top down to surfers on the Nanty. It's not horribly shallow on that part, but the lower section could be tough on glass if you're not careful. I think the Olympic section of the Ocoee would be awesome for the Viper.

I'll be racing on the Rappahannock on the 4th.

bill,

i have a busy weekend ahead, but don't want to completely rule out meeting you if you pass by here. considering the weather, the haw will probably be on the bony side. if you are heading east to pick up the viper, you may want to check the dam below falls lake, or check with mike w. about weldon (i'm guessing that's around his area). i'm not a playboater, but have heard many good things about it from those who are.

my oldest daughter graduates this weekend, so we have some plans, but if you can fill me in on your itinerary we could possibly meet. she & her boyfriend would love to paddle if there's any water in the haw. i wouldn't rule out the haw 100%, but if you are interested in a park & play spot the other areas are probably going to be your better options.
