2005 N.A. & U.S. National Open Canoe Slalom Championship

Post by JulieKeller.com »

Hi Open Boaters,

I'm working on making plans to attend the 2005 North American & U.S. National Open Canoe Slalom Championships to be held on the Riviere Aux Sables in Jonquiere, Canada July 15-17th.

As usual, I'm looking for tandem partners. They need to paddle right stern and I'll consider entering any tandem class rec/race/open/mixed/womens/cadet-senior.

This year they have increased the maximum number of classes from 5 to 7. There will be more opportunities for paddling!

If anyone is interested in getting a tandem team together before we head off to the races - please send me an email.

All the information on the races are at the following website:

See you at the races,
Julie

Just letting people know that this will be an awesome event. Esquif is the major sponsor and I know they will put on a good show. Also, there is a slalom the weekend before Nats at the same venue. Come one come all! Guaranteed warm warm and plenty of rivers and creeks to paddle afterwards. Never tried slalom? Everyone is welcome at Nationals. Everybody is friendly and willing to pass on their knowledge. Brush up on your French!

The combo of Wisconsin Cheese Curds and Canadian Beer could present health issues but the "Jet Propulsion" will make you faster Craig. Again, should be a great time. Jacques says he has a "very experienced slalom course designer coming." If we can keep this mystery designer away from the bierre froide it may be a great course, or is that what inspires you JK, (my guess as the OCS's Great One)?
