I've never really used a bulkhead set up in an open boat but have in decked boats. I don't really have a strong preference, as long as it is secure. I might have a slight preference for straps, but that would reverse in a heartbeat the first time a d-ring/anchor blew out mid-roll.

I'm really just curious as to what the stock outfitting looks like...
