Is the Taureau available for purchase?
I've talked to N.O.C. several times and they've told me that there is not a production model available yet. I'm in the market for a new creek boat and want to check out a Taureau before I decide. Any ideas?
Thanks -Greg

Taureau
I'll have one for sale in about 2 weeks. I won't/don't have a demo version. I personally wanted to get one for myself, but I don't think I have the money, well I know I don't have the money is a more honest situation .
I also have two Zephyrs which are still available, the other 3 are sold. I will have one as a demo.

send me an email if you are interested.

I like your restatement
At least you know that you know.
I was telling someone that they should check out the Taureau before getting the Spanish FLy. I remember Louie making some very positive statements.

SE Taureau available
I emailed jacques at Esquif a week or two ago. There are 4-5 Taureaus for sale in the SE, but not at NOC yet. They have been in production. I bought one from a CO dealer when NOC didn't have any.
Bill- Can you review the Zephyr for us? Do you have them in stock or is it a preorder? Jacque said the production weight would be #6-37# rather than 32# for durability.

PS- The Taureau is a fun boat to paddle. We bigger thighed folks have to carve out some foam- but that is part of the fun. It surfs like a dream and must be actively paddled. The secondary stability is great and the primary is slightly less than the Spanish Fly, but it is faster, goes straighter. A roll is a good thing to have-well someday for me.

Zephyr-Taureau
Hi Wendy,
I briefly tried a Taureau and a Zephyr in Canada. In august???
I'm short and squatty so I did not fit into the Taureau stock and my butt was about an inch above the seat- It will be hard not to alter the Taureau for my personal use.
The Zephyrs are a preorder, and are supposed to ship 1/15/06. The boat I tried was Kevlar, was easy to roll and seemed fast and stable- I personally don't care as much for the Nitro Blast line as I feel they are too slow, I also saw the SPark in action and was amazed at its speed but didn;t get to try it. I'll be anxious to test it on some creeks and see how it does.
I'll be happy to review it more after some river runs.

Zephyr
Sorry that there is no trip report yet- Esquif has mailed me and said the boats are finally ready, and should be in NC next week.
