Check with a local shop that handles Voyager brand. Maybe they will give you a deal on 4???? Their bags are light and tough from my experience.

I haven't had any experience with c-1 bags, but I can say that in my OC1, Voyageur makes great bags, definately something worth checking out---a bit pricey though, for my OC they were about $90 each, but for a c-1 they would be much smaller and less expensive.

Hey MotorCity-OC1, I don't think that NRS is C1-phobic. I just found out that they actually have a C-1er on their staff, and that is a very rare thing in these parts. As soon as I can find a skirt for the finky I just bought from Oregonmatt there will be at least two C1ers in the area. I live about 7 miles from the NRS store and they have always been good to me and the boaters I know. They don't specifically carry C-1 float bags, just kayak and OC float bags. Since you are running an H3-255 I would imagine that the kayak bags would be what you are looking for. However, as I indicated, I'm new to C1 and don't know much about the gear required.

Others responding to this thread have indicated that voyageur bags are very good, and I agree. But I only have experience with their bags in my MR Outrage.

Good luck finding the bags.

Buy two full kayak sets then sell the two sets of tiny bags to PAC for his daughter's new Jib. That's 2 discounts at 21% which makes 42%, the sale to PAC makes your bags almost free. At least according to the "new math" they taught me in the 80's! That was also when they were teaching us the metric system because we were going to be completely switched in another couple of years.

Besides I actually already have a set of smalls - left over from a previous purchase (need the longs and buying the set was cheaper) and I plan to use mini cell to out"foot" the front for her.

Kevin don't dispare - buy some beach balls. At $.99 a ball (for the large and less for the small) you can stuff a bunch in your boat.

They provide good floatation, you don't get pissed if one leaks or is lost (you buy another), you kids can play with them on the river if your bored (games of eddy chase and follow the leader) and in case you blow out your thigh straps you can always use one to hold you in (right Mike?)!

This of course isn't 80's "new math", but is 60's Gigit Goes Surfing - WV style!

You can't sell bags to PAC. Everyone knows that the really cool boaters use beach balls PAC tought me that I could get from the Mashes to the take-out with an off-side thigh-strap & a beach ball

I just have to figure out how many beach balls they'll let me use in the OC for slalom

I've got a Finkenmeister C1 in need of float bags. Is calling NRS and asking for Finkenmeister float bags the best thing to do, or has somebody who outfitted their Finkenmeister have any other ideas that could save some trial and error (usually error that wastes $$$s)

I use 4 of the NRS kayak stern air bags in my FM, 2 in the stern ans 2 in the bow.
