So I have been practicing my OC rolling all winter, and USED TO have a solid (or so I thought) handroll with some little handpaddles I made. But I haven't practiced in about a month (the handrolling) and when I got in the pool last weekend, I just couldn't quite make the roll.
I feel like I am not doing enough with my hips, and rolling the boat under me---I'm putting too much pressure on my hands. I know some people do a very quick hipsnap in the roll, but I seem to make it more of a smooth motion. Which is better? I know this is a debated subject, but still....
Anyone have any ideas or tips? I'm actually installing some hipblocks into my boat this weekend--maybe they'll help?
Any help would be appreciated,
Nate

hips
Try thinking about nothing except the hip snap. I was trying to think about getting into position too much and this caused me to put too much emphysis on my upper body.
