WTB Dagger Ocoee. Any condition.

Will pick up within 10hrs of Detroit, as long as there's paddling nearby.

What happened to the Zephyr?

Post by Big Al »

didn't you like it?

Or you've decided to go OLD SCHOOL?

Kevin, It was good seeing you in PA this weekend. Hope we'll get to paddle together this summer.

digin' the Zephyr?

No, I'd have to say I wasn't gaga over it. With 10lbs of battery and 50+lbs of bulkhead and misc. minicell, it didn't feel particularly spritely. To me it felt more like a tippy-er Ovation than a less rockered Ocoee...

back atcha re: paddling together soon. Maybe next time there's ample water in Western PA we can get PAC to unlock the secrets of Fike's or Indian Creek. Or Clear Shade/Dk Shade :P

PS Old school is a vibe. I will always be old school, electric bilge pump or no...

1st off it was great to see you at the put in and to hear the wife was enjoying her walk in the woods! Sorry we missed you on the run but we got side tracked! 8) I appreciate the update on your other boat too.
So you didn't like the Zeph, eh? I liked it even with the weight and being a bit "tight" to fit in (thanks Shawn for letting me try it out - even though I did have one swim from it  ).
I found it fast enough edge to edge and good with the secondary stability. Primary stability is skitchy but not too bad - milage would help there. It front surfed nice and was overall enjoyable so I'll most likely hop in one again for a full on river demo. But what do I know in an OC! I'd like to have hopped into your Phantom for a compare - maybe next time.
As for the secrets Big Al's your Fikes / Drake guru and I would be more than happy to paddle Jacobs, IC, or the Shades with U!

PS: Where was you paddling buddy R-man?

I agree w/the PAC man. IAlso, it has a LOT more initial stability than does my Zoom.
