All it takes is just a couple of injurious(sp?) strokes to do injury. Watch it when you're leaning back a bit..as in any play maneuver...you can briefly get yourself in a position where you're lengthening your stroke and attempting to add full power when your elbow is at that vulnerable bent, tail-end, where your elbow will take on the force of the pull that your arms should normally be accepting.
*The smaller blade(in comparison to shaft size) and more flexible shaft are both good ideas as well...
