GT 8.1 Weight limit

Post by C1 8.1 »

Got a bite on my boat for sale. Wondering what you think the weight limit is. I am around 180 ish and the interested party is 230. I am concerned he might be too big and the boat might not perform as he would like.
What do you folks think?

Hi Joe- I had looked up the boat and it said 230 though I would think it would be tippy as a c1 at that weight. I was considerring it myself....as something in between the wheelboy and the creekers.

Hey Bill

It is inbetween my Superfun and Nomad 8.5. I just am not paddling it enough to keep it. Trying to learn how to paddle the Superfun is keeping me somewhat busy. Learning how and when to lean forward or backward. Seems I am over a bit more often but, not so bad yet. Never could surf the GT. Will miss the volume on certain runs. Let me know if you want it. My thought were the same as yours on the weight limit.
