Well...
I'll have to look for his business card this weekend. I know he does not have a web site. I see him out paddling from time to time but not regularly during the winter.
You might try www.backlundpaddles@juno.com but I know he has moved his residence to outside Ohiopyle PA.
I've also asked some others via email if they have his number, etc.
I'll let you know what I came up with! PAC

One more thing...
He does not have a web site nor plans on getting one anytime soon. He is more into taking his time (anyone who as special ordered a stick from him needs to understand this) and producing a work of art.
I have a K paddle he made over 15 years ago that is still a work of art. My friends kid me it's now furniture (lack of use since it's a K and beauty)! Let me know what you need. CU PAC

Paddle info....

No problem. Actually your english pretty darn good.
I hope I do justice to this since I’m not a great note taker but here are the details for his paddles....
Four levels of quality – roughly 6 months turnaround since each is individually hand crafted.
1. $200 Standard – matched wood, fiberglass roped edges, etc.
2. $300 Super – same as Standard but with inlaid hardwood and pressure treated edges, etc.
3. $400 New World – same as Super but with perfect wood (grain, color, etc.) with no imperfections (might take longer than 6 months).
4. $500 Signature – New World but everything is PERFECT (take 2 to 3 years based on selecting and drying the wood). I've seen these and they are basically his personal paddles. Works of art.
All have dynal (sp?) wrap shafts, etc. and come in three styles for C1 (blades). You can also select either a straight or curved blade face.
1. C1 Slalom
2. FS model – teardrop shape
3. Raft Guide – square blade with rounded edges. Used by many guides on the Upper Yough.
He requires 50% deposit on work and would need hand tracings for the shaft and T-grip (curve blades are carved uni-directional), and your requested lenght. He also asks for the correct spelling of your name so he can place that on the blade face.
Let me know if you want more info (and if you survived the price shock).
His computer is down and he does not look to have it fixed within the next few months.
Hopefully this helpful and let me know if you anything else relating to this.
