paddling videos...

Post by sbroam »

So here I am at home with the three year old who has pink eye trying to entertain him - we're on to paddling videos now and this one is the freebie Wavesport Sessions DVD. Never really watched it before - anybody see the footage of Nolan Whitesell? Catching a wave *in* Pillow (Gauley) and surfing it? Extended offside side surf on the Dries of the New (I think). Wow! Not getting much work done... They included more open boat footage than I expected...

The boy wants a "canoe hat" now - now I need to dig up those DVDs of open boat slalom...

I have some old footage of Nolan running Burnt Ranch.

It may have been from the same tape because I remember that Gauley scene. Chris Kelly

I told him that what he was watching was "rodeo". Later he came back with a bandana, canoe paddle, and hat saying he wants to go "cowboy canoeing"...

At least he didn't come back dressed as a rodeo clown canoeist...

He's three years old, cute as a bug and does look more like a rodeo clown than a cowboy.

I out on the video of the '03 OC Nats and he said "that's you! that's a red boat!" Later I had the '04 Olympic video on and he came and asked me if he could have one of those boats. I'm setting the hook deep...

Way to set the hook!

These are the days you'll remeber. They are fleeting, enjoy them.

Scott, you are an inspiration, brother. :D Thanks for the ideas. I'll put them to good use the next time Abby and I are sharing a cold.

Scott,
You need to get a copy of "Fast and Clean" from MWP. if you don't already have it. Your little one will be all over it.
