Hudson Armada this fall?
I heard a rumour that there might be an Armada on the Hudson this fall. Any truth to it?

Most likely:)
I am in fact seriously considering holding a Fall armada. I'd hoped to be able to have a place for a lot of folks to crash, but there's no way our addition will be done by then (ok, so it's only 2 more bedrooms, but that's 2 more extra than we have now!).
Right now I'm thinking sometime in mid to late sept. I'll try and post a poll of dates that work for a few of us locals in the next few days, and if one works for everyone, we'll move forward with it.
Is there any interest in having a "C Boat museum paddle the relics and oddities" day in conjunction with the Hudson Armada (e.g. paddle the gorge Saturday, and Sunday morning goof off either on moving flatwater or class II in some of the "collection")?

Two river days?
Would it be possible to put together two river days? Perhaps the same river twice? It's almost a full day of driving to get there. I feel bad when I spend more time in the car than on the water.
We can get two river days in for sure!
The Hudson Gorge will be the prime run, two days in a row could be a bit much for some.
The Sacandaga River at Hadley will be running, most likely at around 4000 CFS.
If the Hudson is at least 4' on the North Creek gage, a class 2-3 run from North Creek to the Glen would be good, it is also a good alternative if the Gorge is too high.
The Scroon River could also be up, I consider 3' at Riverbank to be a minimum.
All are within about an hour of each other. If things are really up, there could be many more options.

I'm afraid this will remain on the "I'd love to but it is unlikely this year" list.

Tell Sir Adam he has to go play!
We're in the midst of finishing the addition to our house (which is several weeks overdue ) and Adam is bemoaning the fact that we'll be painting and tiling when everyone is hoping to hold the Hudson Armada ...
.... so ....
... I'm asking you all to give him lots of grief to come play - I've already told him that I've given him the wifely dispensation to forgo all painting, tiling, and other such house work to go to the Armada...
... he wanted it in writing
... so ... here it is ... now get him to come play!

Adam -
You did alright ! She's a good 'un! And I should know how to recognize one - my wife ordered me to go to the OC Nats - "when will they be in our neck of the woods again? Go, go!". This despite more going on than I'll bore you with - suffice it to say, in Louiesque speak, that we've been busier than a one legged man in a kicking contest.
Now, go play! And buy her some flowers...
