Mamba or Nomad

Post by GARY HAZEL »

Ive narrowed my c1 conversion boat for creeking to 2. Mamba 8.5 or Nomad 8.5. Ive read a few threads about The nomad but the Mamba is wider and a little flatter. Has anyone done a conversion or paddled a Mamba 8.5? Is there any diffrence in speed? Im 195 lb paddler. thanks

Care to share how/why you eliminated any similar contenders such as the Burn?

no reason really . I like the length of the 8.5 and havent seen a burn yet. I dont paddle with anyone who has one either.

what do you intend to do with it?

if your planning on running class V creeks get the nomad. for class IV and less, i think the mamba would be more fun.
